At Uncertain Stories we think short stories are perfect for book clubs and reading groups. The wide range of ideas, themes, and styles, all wrapped up in neat, quick-to-read little packages, gives you plenty to talk about.
If you'd like to explore uncertainty with your book club, there are a couple of ways to do it:
Our anthologies feature a selection of new short stories to explore, discuss, and compare. The first one, Broken Ground, is out now, and available with worldwide shipping.
If your group would just like to dip your toes into the waters of short fiction, our Little Uncertainties are short books, each of which contains just a single short story. They're an ideal way for your group to refresh your palates, try something different, or simply have a change of pace between longer books.
The Little Uncertainties aren't available to buy, though: they're completely free. We distribute them through bookshops and cafes throughout the UK. If your group would like to try them, ask your friendly local bookshop to get in touch with us, and we'll send them a bundle to put out on the counter for your group (and other local readers!) to discover.
